The official numbers are in, and a record number of qualifiers will fly to Las Vegas to play in the world’s biggest live poker tournament, the WSOP 2023 Main Event.
As per numbers shared to PRO by GGPoker — WSOP’s official partner — a staggering 774 players have won their seats through the operator’s Road to Vegas promotion, more than double the qualifiers in 2022.
With each seat worth $10,000 the WSOP Main Event has locked in a $7.7 million prize pool just from GGPoker qualifiers alone.
A breakdown of the qualifiers shows that 634 out of 774 have won seats via satellites on the GGPoker dot-com network. At the same time, another 39 players made their way through the segregated GGPoker Ontario room serving Canada’s largest province.
A further 101 players qualified through ClubGG, the operator’s sweepstakes online poker platform, where the campaign for the 2023 WSOP kicked off immediately after last year’s series wrapped.
